At POA We Value Our Patients
Kind, considerate, caring, charming and, most of all, gifted. All of these words describe Dr. Brian Vannozzi. He has a calm command of his profession – even in the trauma room at the ER. My family’s confidence in Dr. Vannozzi was bolstered by his rock-star level academic and professional credentials. It was my good fortune that he was on duty the day I broke my hip.

As a physician, I appreciated the professionalism and attention to detail that Dr. Vannozzi and the staff at Princeton Hospital demonstrated, making the decision to have an elective hip replacement. The experience from start to finish was exceptional. I could not be more pleased with the outcome as, in a very short time, I was walking without pain. It is truly a life redeeming procedure. Dr. Vannozzi clearly is a superior surgeon. I could not recommend him more highly.

Brian Vannozzi is the Doctor who saved my life. I can tell you the following about this very special person who came into my life:
After a traumatic experience of shattering my hip, I was fortunate to go to Princeton Hospital and through resources my family found Dr. Brian Vannozzi. He operated and replaced my hip. Fortunately, he was trained in the latest method in hip replacements.
I attribute my being able to walk, swim, dance, run and lead a normal life today to my attitude and Dr. Vannozzi’s skill. Everyone has a different pain tolerance and mental attitude. We all have different physical abilities and different circumstances. His bedside manner, integrity, honesty, knowledge of the newest procedures, and his dedication as a doctor is just the beginning of who he is. He cares!
Unfortunately, statistics show that 50% of the people who break their hip after the age of 55 will die. Of the 50% that live, only 25% will walk again without any assistance. I have recommended many people who need a routine hip or knee replacement to Dr. Vannozzi. The feedback has only been positive. With great respect, I remain, happy at 72 years young!

I have dealt with a lot of physicians in my time. Never have I met someone as kind and caring as Dr. Nazarian. He called me at home after surgery to see how I was feeling. His staff is kind and caring. We never wait long to see him. When he schedules you for an appointment, he is on time. Since using him, we have referred people to the office. He is a great doctor and genuinely kind person. ONE OF THE BEST.

I am now seven months post-surgery. It is amazing to feel this good. I had forgotten what it was like to live without pain. I still forget that I can now reach for the peanut butter on the top shelf effortlessly. My strength is still building, only weak in the rotator cuff. I shot baskets the other day. I played tennis, too. Today was the first time that I could hit the heavy bag confidently, not worried about hurting my shoulder. You do have to go slow. Do not overdo it or you will damage.
What was exciting was that after the initial full rest, there were noticeable improvements every few days, and that continued slowly for me. Now, I am stronger than I was last week. My flexibility is better in the shoulder that had the surgery than in my nonsurgical shoulder. I was lucky to have worked with a very experienced physical therapist. He had never seen a total shoulder replacement like mine. He said that he cannot tell by manipulating me that it isn't a normal shoulder.
Dr. Abrams is genuinely happy for my improved life. He does not walk around like so many other surgeons that I know. I appreciate how down-to-earth he is—always smiling. I never felt rushed. Dr. Abrams always gave me as much time as I needed. As for Herb, I knew without question that I could ask Herb a question anytime. In closing, I have gone back in time. My shoulder has not been this good for at least 10 years.

My experience with the POA office at Monroe has been very positive. The office staff was always polite, efficient, and accommodating.
Dr. Vannozzi is friendly, professional, and responsive. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and reassuring. His surgical coordinator, Denise, was very, very helpful in organizing MRI appointments, pre-admission appointments and guiding me along with additional appointments I needed to make, i.e, with my primary physician, cardiac, etc. She was available for questions and guidance throughout the pre-surgical period.
Dr. Vannozzi’s physician assistant, Dishank, proved himself invaluable to Dr. Vannozzi and his patients, as Dishank was consistently available for questions pre-surgery, post-surgery, medication queries, etc. He always returned calls in a timely manner.
I cannot say enough about my experiences in both May and October of this year. I would gladly recommend Dr. Vannozzi and his team of professionals to whoever is considering knee or hip replacement.

From the first scheduled appointment to the last one, everyone was professional and very helpful. This was my third surgery done here and they were all handled the same way. Susan Rutledge (Dr. Moskwa’s surgical secretary) was very helpful, as usual. The people at the Surgical Center were also great. In closing, I would like to say that from the girl at the desk to the doctor, it was a pleasure to deal with courteous and professional people. It shows that Dr. Moskwa cares about his patients.

This is my second experience with Dr. Song and, like the first one, amazing results. He and his staff, especially Ashley Reckdenwald, PA, was great, to say the least! When I came to Dr. Song about my left shoulder (he already did my right one), I already went to a "well-known" doctor closer to me in Neptune. He did some x-rays and basically diagnosed me with having bursitis and to put an ointment on daily and "live with it"! Because of my age, there was nothing to be done, he said! I tried that but the pain was keeping me up at night, so I decided to get a second opinion from Dr. Song. He tested me and said that I was in great shape and had a lot of strength there but it seemed odd to him that I have the problem I had, so he advised me to get an MRI to be on the safe side. Upon his findings, he concluded that I had a severe tear in my rotator cuff and that I needed surgery ASAP! This was actually a bit of a shock to both of us because the pain was not the same as my right shoulder. I had the surgery and went to PT and now I am completely free of pain in BOTH of my shoulders and can even swim in the local pool without any problems whatsoever!!! Thanks, Dr. Song, for doing a great job!

I have a rather extensive history with Dr. Abrams and his PA, Herb Williams. I have had 4 surgeries with them ranging in time from 2005 to 2014. I can honestly say I love these two men. They have been so kind and caring over all these years.
My first experience with Dr. Jeffrey Abrams was in November of 2005. I had a severe rotator cuff tear in my right shoulder which required surgery. My surgery took place at the end of December 2005. First, the nurses at the surgery center were terrific! My surgery required twice the time they had anticipated, but Dr. Abrams was very thorough in finding and repairing all the damage I had – a major tear to the subscapularis and supraspinatus as well as a total tear with retraction of the long head of the biceps tendon. All his work was done with minimal invasiveness (arthroscopically) which minimized scarring and disfiguration, not to mention, recovery time.
On surgery day, prior to my surgery, Dr. Abrams personally came around to me to chat about the surgery, and to generally see how I was doing and if I had any questions. He has a very kind and gentle way about him. I was sent home in a sling with a couple of prescriptions. A day or two after surgery, I was contacted by the surgery center to see how I was doing. All in all, just a great experience (as far as surgical procedures go).
Since my initial surgery, I have returned for 3 other surgeries with Dr. Abrams. Dr. Abrams went back into my right shoulder 9 months after the initial surgery to release scar tissue that was preventing movement. In 2009, Dr. Abrams performed a similar surgery on my left shoulder, and then in 2013, he went into my right shoulder again because I was complaining of pain. That time, he “cleaned up” my shoulder by removing old sutures, a bone spur, and some arthritis, and let me say this…my right shoulder feels the best it has in 14 years!
Although the waiting time is excessive for office visits, Dr. Abrams and Herb make me feel like a family member when I see them. They aren’t all business. They take the time to ask about my family and my overall well-being. They take the time for my concerns and questions, and never rush me through an office visit. I just love Dr. Abrams and Herb Williams. They are two very caring and compassionate professionals.

Following a sports injury in June 2014 and a subsequent MRI, I was diagnosed with a large cervical disc herniation at C5-6. My spinal cord was severely compressed causing myelopathy and stenosis. Dr. Nazarian performed anterior cervical fusion and discectomy surgery in September. From our first meeting through the post -surgery follow-ups, he was caring, compassionate and took the time to explain everything in great detail. He was always accessible and willing to answer my questions, and possesses a great bedside manner. I can’t imagine that I could have been in better hands and would highly recommend Dr. Nazarian.
