At POA We Value Our Patients
Dr. Brian Vannozzi is a great surgeon – great bedside manner - very personable. I have had right and left total knee replacements and I am now playing golf 5 weeks after surgery thanks to Dr. V.

It was time for a total hip replacement, and I knew that a successful outcome depended on the skill of the surgeon and his team. I took the time to check out several highly-regarded joint replacement programs, and chose Dr. Vannozzi. I couldn’t have made a better choice. Dr. V’s surgical skill and my amazing recovery surpassed my highest expectations. I have not come across anyone who had such a great experience and as full a recovery as I have had.
Through pre-op, the surgery, and postop care, Dr. V. and the POA team were more than helpful in taking the time to provide complete information on all aspects of the surgical process, from scheduling, insurance, to home care. They made the process as smooth and easy to navigate as it could be.
I am looking forward to having my second hip replacement shortly, and am confident that my care and recovery will, again, be outstanding. The facilities and care that I received at UMCPP couldn’t be better – it was world class. I am so grateful to Dr. Vannozzi for his caring manner, up-to-date information, and surgical skills. He has enabled me to again live pain-free and regain my life. Thank you, Dr. Vannozzi.

Dr. Nazarian performed a spinal fusion on me in the Fall of 2013. This occurred between a left hip replacement in 2012 and a right hip replacement in 2015. Obviously, there was resulting back pain after each hip replacement. Dr. Nazarian couldn't have been kinder, more concerned, or patient with me. He provided excellent care starting with his surgical skills. I couldn't recommend him more.

I started seeing Dr. Vannozzi for an old injury to my right knee. He was doing injections in the knee in preparation for knee replacement surgery in the near future. Then, when I injured my left knee at work, I knew immediately that I wanted Dr. Vannozzi for it also. He was caring and considerate and didn’t jump on the “you must have surgery immediately” bandwagon. We discussed my options and did the conservative approach first, of arthroscopic and injections. Then, when the knee got worse, we discussed total knee replacement. He walked me through every step, letting me know what to expect at every turn. I had total confidence in him and knew that I would get the best care in a professional and caring manner. He was there for me, answering all my questions, and was always available when I called. It was a long process from surgery to rehab to where I am today and Dr. Vannozzi has been with me every step of the way. I have total confidence in him and his abilities and I feel like I am part of his team.
He is going to be replacing my right knee in January and I know Dr. Vannozzi is going to make this surgery and aftercare go as well, if not better, as he stays on top of the cutting-edge of the ever-changing technology in replacements.
A co-worker of mine has been going to NYC for his knee and wanted something closer to where he lives in NJ. I recommended Dr. Vannozzi. He went to see him and his surgery is already scheduled for November. That is a true indication of the compassion, knowledge, and confidence Dr. Vannozzi shows to every person he sees.
There is a running joke with the receptionist every time I come to the office to see Dr. Vannozzi: I have to say “left knee” or “right knee” so they know which knee he will be seeing me for. They are wonderful - I walk in and they know my name!

The best medical advice I have been given was to get a second opinion regarding the scheduled amputation of two toes, following osteomyelitis and poor outcome from attempted surgical debridement by another physician. Dr. Levine was sure he could salvage the situation and I had surgery performed by him to more aggressively fight the infection.
Sure enough, his word was true. He is an excellent clinician with extraordinary skills. As a physician assistant, I now refer all my patients requiring orthopedic intervention to Princeton Orthopaedics and, specifically, to Dr. Levine for foot issues. This is a wonderfully run practice!

Dr. Vannozzi replaced my left hip in 10/2012 and my right hip this past 10/2015. In between, he was almost as frustrated as me with continuing left hip, back pain, and right hip pain. The right hip proved to be very deceptive. The first two MRIs did not present a need for surgery. The third MRI presented stenosis and a buildup of arthritis necessitating surgery. Dr. Vannozzi was amazed with the amount of damage to the top part of the femur. He has always been a concerned and extremely skillful surgeon. I am finally recovering completely after the second hip. I could not recommend him more.

Earlier this year, I ruptured my Achilles tendon playing basketball. My early thoughts of surgery in a hospital for the first time had me extremely concerned. I had no idea of what to expect going forward. However, from the very first office visit, Dr. Hasan has been absolutely wonderful. From her first diagnosis where surgery became a reality, thru each cast replacement and follow-up session, she has exceeded my expectations and washed away my concerns with a calm and direct demeanor. I have continued to make progress and am very thankful for her expertise in handling my case.
While in the casts, I was told by friends (who had similar injuries) of the stories of the “dreaded” rehab and therapy I’d have to endure over the coming months. I decided to attend therapy sessions at your Monroe location since it was close to my work office. I am very pleased to state that my friends had it all wrong (or just went to the wrong places). Mona Slansky and the rest of your physical therapy group in Monroe have been absolutely superb. Mona has been right on the ball in each and every step I have taken and has made my rehab a very rewarding experience. The entire group has been pleasant and very easy to work with. I have looked forward to each and every session I have attended, mostly due to the pleasant and professional atmosphere your group at Monroe has displayed while getting me back to a state where I am close to attempting to hit the courts again.
If it wasn’t for the severity of the injury, I might say that I was glad it happened. If it didn’t, I wouldn’t have met such an excellent group of friendly professionals. Once again, many thanks!!!

Dr. Vannozzi is, without a doubt, the finest surgeon any patient could hope to have. In the past 2 years, he has provided me with two new hips and each operation has been a qualified success. This time, I was discharged from the hospital after 2 nights and a nurse came to my house on 2 occasions. An excellent physical therapist, Hazel, also came to the house and worked with me for 1 week. After 16 days, Dr. Vannozzi cleared me to drive and I am now doing 4 weeks of outpatient PT.
All aspects of my operation – before and after – have been quite magnificent. I did not need any equipment, as I had it from my first operation on the opposite hip, two years ago. I did not use a walker or crutches and was free-walking after 5 days. I see Dr. Vannozzi again in December, hen he says he will clear me to ski in Colorado in January where I am a ski and snowshoe guide.

I have been cared for by Dr. Ark on three separate occasions over the past 7 years: once for a broken heel I suffered in an automobile accident, once for surgery to remove a cyst from my finger and, most recently, for surgery to remove a tiny shard of glass from my hand (this was a Workers Compensation case). In all three cases, Dr. Ark's treatment was excellent. In the office, he took the time to explain the situation and review my x-rays with me. He made both surgeries seem easy all the way from scheduling through the follow up period. I had no complications and healed up with no issues. The amazing thing is that after both surgeries, I never needed to take any of the pain killers he prescribed. I highly recommend Dr. Ark.

In the spring of 2013, Dr. Marc Lamb performed my carpal tunnel and trigger thumb surgery with great success. I had tremendous pain and numbness all the time, and it affected my daily working life and sleeping at night also. I must say my outcome was that I no longer experience any pain or numbness at all; this was more than I even hoped for. I work with someone in a different hospital who had the same surgery (with a different surgeon), and he still experiences pain and numbness.
I feel very fortunate to have had Dr. Lamb as my surgeon. Not only was he an excellent surgeon, he had a wonderful bedside manner, a kind, and gentle hand, and he listened to everything I had to say. Thank you to Dr. Marc Lamb and, of course, I highly recommend him!
